Talking about my UI design road

Time flies, and it has been almost two months since I entered UI learning. This time has been very fulfilling, because there is pressure to gain.

I still remember that when I just learned hand-painting, I only had a preliminary understanding of this industry and I knew I liked it, but when I really learned, I realized that I still have a lot to learn. It is not easy to change careers, but since I decided, just To adhere.

After learning PS, I feel that the most important thing about this software is to be careful, inspired and patient.

The so-called careful is because a lot of processing must be very careful, some places are very small, and some are difficult to handle. Only careful people can do better, such as the use of lasso, that kind of work needs to be very careful, Otherwise, it would be uglifying the character instead of beautifying the image of the character.

Inspiration is for those who want to design some works. It is very simple to do something, but if you want to do it beautifully, you must have a certain inspiration. For example, when designing a combined image, how to select two objects that can be combined, and these two objects must be coordinated together. I think this is a test of a person's artistic imagination. Of course, this can also be observed, referred to, and thought more about in peacetime.

And patience is because it takes a long time to do things through this software, not the heat of three minutes, which is completely unacceptable. If you don't want to do it for a while, it's impossible for such a thing to be so beautiful. It also fails to resonate with the observer. For example, when you are doing your homework, when you open the finished picture after the initial completion, you will find that many deficiencies need to be constantly revised, and it is impossible to solve it overnight.

After getting in touch with Ai, at first I thought it was not as flexible as PS, but after a period of time, I found that it is very powerful and very convenient to use. It has two main functions, one is painting and the other is design.

Among them, the painting function: we can use AI to draw 2D (plane), 2.5D (plane + three-dimensional), 3D (three-dimensional) graphics; followed by design functions: using AI for font design, graphics/icon design (including UE/UI) Graphic and icon design, graphic and icon design, etc.), UE/UI design, logo design (LOGO), graphic layout design (including magazines, cards, albums, DMs, advertising posters, etc.), product packaging design, product shape design, As well as the auxiliary linear design of buildings, etc.

In fact, the two softwares have their own advantages and disadvantages. For example, PS is more flexible in processing layers, but when it comes to in-situ processing of shapes and layer switching, AI is better. When you understand the Boolean operation rules of AI (path finder), you can Once you know how to add, subtract, delete, and intersect layers, you can easily use AI to draw the desired graphics. At the same time, you can also use AI to design icons and interfaces. All in all, software is our tool, and we need to use it flexibly and take full advantage of it to perfect our designs.

Thinking about it carefully, the most important thing in design is your own ideas, so I just entered the UI threshold, and I have to do a lot of things. In addition to learning to use various tools (of course, this is the foundation), I have to see and think more and improve myself. There is no good idea, even skilled operation skills are useless. Thinking that we have seen some works on the website, and used a lot of special effects skills, but they are mixed together, and some masters at the level of gods, their works are very Simple, you can even copy in a few minutes, but their work can leave a deep impression on us.

This is the idea. The so-called "three minutes on stage, ten years of work off stage" is also very accurate in design. How many times they have to hone it before they achieve it, that wonderful moment.

"There is a long way to go, I will go up and down to find out." Now I have just stepped into the door of UI design with half a foot, and there is still a long way to go!
