Try this: While viewing the file, click the line number next to the code.
wow, did you see that? The URL is updated accordingly. If you Shift-click another line number, the URL updates again, and all code segments between those two line numbers are highlighted.
You can share the URL now, but wait, these are still the current branch, what if the files changed? You need a permalink.
