jmeter tutorial - installation

1. Install Jmeter

1. Download Jmeter, JDK, Badboy

Jmeter official website download address

JDK official website download address

Badboy official website download address

Download the installation package

2. Install JDK

Before installing Jmeter, you need to configure the Java environment. We downloaded jmeter4.0, so the java version requires java7 or above.

Steps to install JDk

After the JDK is installed successfully, you can install Jmeter next.

To install JDK under LINUX, please refer to the relevant documentation for installation.

3. Install Jmeter

Installing jmeter is very simple, just unzip the downloaded zip package to the specified folder, for example, unzip the zip package to the root directory of the E drive: E:\apache-jmeter-4.0

The directory structure after installation is as follows:

  • E:\apache-jmeter-4.0\bin
  • E:\apache-jmeter-4.0\docs
  • E:\apache-jmeter-4.0\extras
  • E: \ apache-jmeter-4.0 \ lib
  • E:\apache-jmeter-4.0\lib\ext
  • E:\apache-jmeter-4.0\lib\junit
  • E:\apache-jmeter-4.0\licenses
  • E:\apache-jmeter-4.0\printable_docs

You can rename the parent directory if you want (eg jmeter-4, formerly apache-jmeter-4.0), but don't change any subdirectory names. The parent directory path cannot contain any spaces; if it does, you will have problems running client-server mode.

4. Install badboy

Installing bayboy is also very simple, just double-click the exe installation file, and then go all the way to next.

After the installation is complete, click the badboy menu in the start menu to start
