Anyone can do software testing? ? !

This is a question Erin was asked once. In the eyes of some people, software testing may really be a very simple job. Although it is not directly asked, it is also indirectly implied. And Erin also said before that anyone with zero foundation can switch to software testing, so is software testing really as long as some people think, anyone can do it?

Of course it can't be like that.

While it is true that there are tests that anyone can do, such as handwriting input, voice recognition, these usually require a lot of users to participate in the test. Such testing is not general professional software testing and is beyond the scope of this discussion. Many people have doubts about the testing of commonly used application software (software as complex as an operating system cannot be tested by anyone, and probably will have no objection), such as websites and mobile APPs.

Why would anyone think that? First of all, the commonly used application software is used by everyone, and maybe when you see testers doing tests, they just run the functions of the software, report bugs when they find problems, and run them again when bugs are fixed. Writing test cases is to write according to the requirements document, and executing tests is to run according to the use cases, so easy!

When we watch a person draw an object, it is just taking a pen and drawing according to the pattern. However, those who understand drawing will know that it is not so simple to draw well. Software testing is such a job. The entry threshold is so low that all technical steps are thrown away. Anyone can test the software after it is installed. However, it is not that simple to do a complete test and do it well.
