Steps for adding a node server to a CDH cluster

1. Unzip the installation package to the /opt directory

tar -zxvf cloudera--el6-cm5.7.1_x86_64.tar.gz -C /opt/

2. Modify the config.ini file under the agent and set server_host to the host name of the server where the server is located

vim /opt/cm-5.7.1/etc/cloudera-scm-agent/config.ini

3. Create cloudera-scm user

useradd --system --home=/opt/cm-5.7.1/run/cloudera-scm-server/ --no-create-home --shell=/bin/false --comment "Cloudera SCM User" cloudera-scm

4. Start the agent

/opt/cm-5.7.1/etc/init.d/cloudera-scm-agent start

5. Enter the CM management background, click "Host", then click "Add a new host to the cluster", and follow the prompts.
