Some Thoughts on Salary and Technology

To be honest, I was a little out of balance today. The classmates who lived together changed jobs and got a 10K offer, which is really a job, because in my opinion, although he is a down-to-earth and careful programmer, he is really not excellent. He belongs to the kind of interface drawing and function. Skilled hand. At least when I came to my company for an interview, the interviewer in our company commented that it might be difficult to take over my job. And we get along with each other day and night. He has never been able to write code after get off work, and he has nothing to do with deeper technologies and design patterns. He still understands each other relatively well.

But this level of .net programmers can get 10K, in fact, I'm not too surprised, but thinking about my current situation, I can't help but sigh.

When I first arrived in Beijing, I didn’t know where I lived. In order to quickly find a job and make a living, I only had a few days for my interview, and then I hurriedly agreed to an offer. I didn’t show my strength at all, and the salary was only 6.5K. At that time, everyone was a fresh graduate. In fact, there was not much difference. There were even 4K ones. It can only be said that they were too young and let the company lower the price. The current company, after working for half a year for the New Year, has raised 500 yuan. In the second year, I did SharePoint development. Because it is a secondary development type, I have no experience, and I don’t know much about the market and prospects. I finally found that SharePoint is a niche market in China, and this thing is not suitable for domestic development. One is that the UI style is not suitable, and the other is that there are differences in user habits. Although the group also said that it can make money, I can't find it. In any mature case, let alone secondary development, many technologies and experiences cannot be used, and only self-contained technologies can be used. In fact, I was vaguely aware of this very early on, so I still took time to improve my general knowledge, such as design patterns, such as data structures, the popular language Python wrote crawler and django, and when the company was engaged in mobile development, I also learned He has developed mixed development such as angular + ionic, and considers himself to be a smart person, and he is familiar with the commonly used technologies and frameworks of .Net.

In fact, I have long thought of leaving. One is that the job content is not satisfactory, and the other is that the salary is too low. It can only be said that there is no prospect or money. But everything is because of a mobile project. The manager said that a high-performance instant messaging server will be built. It will officially start in May, and it will be made into a product with the next mobile project. After learning so many things, I feel that there is finally a place to display and verify For a moment, because I also jumped to another company, it is also a drawing interface, and the writing function is really not a big deal. Besides, I have been in this company for almost two years, and there is nothing I can take out. I feel that I am really wasting my time. Since the sunk cost is so high, it is better to wait until the mobile project is done well before leaving. Because in my opinion, there should be very few opportunities to build such a server from scratch. I don’t know if my vision is too narrow, or the work I have experienced is ordinary development work, and I may also be worried that I will not do it myself after changing jobs. Like the content, the human heart is really complicated.

In fact, I said so much, that is, to express the injustice in my heart. I am also very happy for my classmate to get a good job, but how do I go about the next road? My initial idea is to wait for the mobile project to complete before leaving, because I feel that my classmates and I have a good career plan for ourselves. It's different, I hope I can grow into a senior programmer, not a skilled worker who draws interface and writes functions. I believe that friends who have technical pursuits will definitely understand my thoughts, so since our goals are different, I can't follow the trend. , If I have more money by 2-3K, I will change jobs. If I can do the next thing, I think I have at least entered the intermediate category.

I don’t know if it’s because of my inferiority complex, or because I’ve been waiting for this mobile project for two months and my mentality is a little out of balance. I feel really unhappy if I don’t write something down today.

I have also made a big sacrifice, and I hope that the next project will not let me down.

If there are seniors with rich work experience who can give some pointers when they see the doubts of the juniors, I would be very grateful.
