Newcomer Guidance Notes

Let me make a statement first: I have not done a newcomer coaching, hahaha~

In this rank defense, I was asked relevant questions, so since I am still deeply impressed by the things in the newcomer stage, I wrote down my own thoughts and thoughts in advance, which is considered a precaution.

Next, I will first talk about the general direction of newcomer training, and then summarize some precautions in the guidance process.

Part 1 training steps

1. Construction and use of test environment

     The use of requirements management tools, the installation and use of version control tools, the installation and use of game engines, the construction of test servers, etc.

2. Game experience

     Play the game of your project and complete the game experience report.

3. Document Analysis

     According to the requirements document, do document analysis. Point out the unclear, ambiguous, and contradictory descriptions in the requirements, or put forward your own suggestions in the requirements.

4. Case reference

     Learning to refer to the test thinking of other test predecessors, you can give him some mind maps, test points, test cases and other cases.

5. Write mind maps, test points, and test cases according to document analysis

     Refer to the case in the previous step and output test cases according to your own thinking. The formation of test thinking requires a long time of study and training. Here, we must patiently explain and guide, and point out deficiencies, so that they can be constantly corrected and adjusted.

6. Project practice

     Assign the peripheral systems in the project to him and officially start practicing.

     Consciously guide it, including the exploration and use of some test tools, and the use of test development languages, which are mainly used here are Python scripts.

Part 2 Notes

1. Before writing test points, it is best to have case reference or study. Don't let it explore on its own blindly.

2. At the beginning, learn more practical content. There is no need to study things that are of little use temporarily, and it will waste a lot of time. People grow up slowly and cannot be achieved overnight.

3. Appropriately affirm their work during the process, and then raise their deficiencies. Keep his work ethic and self-confidence.

4. Be diligent in communication. In the form of a daily report, you can learn about his work content, work progress and problems encountered every day. Provide instructive responses.
