Design Flow


1. Analysis stage

Demand analysis , user scenario simulation, competitive product analysis (listen to the voice of users).

Demand analysis : For a product, there must be an analysis of user needs, which is mostly obtained from MRD and PRD, or obtained from the product demand review meeting. Of course, you can directly communicate with the product manager to obtain relevant information. product demand. If design principles are the starting point of all designs, then user needs are the starting point of this design.

User Scenario Simulation: Good design is built on a deep understanding of users. Therefore, user usage scenario analysis is very important, to understand the existing interaction of the product and the user's habits of using the product, etc., but designers must think from the user's point of view when analyzing: if I were a user, what would I need here.

Competitive product analysis (listen to the voice of users): Competitive products can be listed and known by UI designers, and they must have their advantages. This is the meaning of the so-called three-person line must have my teacher. Every designer's thinking has limitations, and seeing other people's designs has the benefit of analogy. When there are competing products in the market, listen to users' comments, even if they are scolding, don't indulge in your own design and let real users speak.

Inputs: MRD, PRD, market research report, competitive analysis document (or one or all of them)

Output: first draft of design (maybe just a few simple interfaces)

2. Design stage

The design method adopts scene-oriented, event- oriented and object-oriented design methods. Scenario-oriented is to simulate the use of the product, etc., and simulate the user's use of the product in various situations. Event -oriented is the design of product response and trigger events, a prompt box, a submit button... These are all event-driven designs. Object-oriented, different users of the product have different design requirements for the product, and users of different age groups have different requirements for the product, and the user positioning of the product will affect the UI designer .

Input: Interactive document (high-fidelity prototype)

Output: final design draft (all design drafts)

3. Cooperate

UI设计师交出产品设计图时,更多的配合开发人员、测试人员进行截图配合。配合开发人员对于PSD格式的图片切图操作,对于不同的开发人员的要求,切图方式也有不同,UI设计师需配合相关的开发人员进行最适合的切图配合。

输出物:设计修改稿(设计稿切片)

4、验证

产品出来后,UI设计师需对产品的效果进行验证,与当初设计产品时的想法是否一致,是否可用,用户是否接受,以及与需求是否一致。都需要UI设计师验证,UI设计师是将产品需求用图片展现给用户最直接的经手人,对于产品的理解会更加深刻。
