Apache Superset 1.5.0rc2 is now available. Apache Superset is a modern open source data tool for data exploration and data visualization. It provides an easy-to-use no-code visual builder and what it claims is a state-of-the-art SQL editor with which users can quickly build data dashboards.
The announcement states that this is a call to vote for the release of version 1.5.0 of Apache Superset . Superset 1.5 focuses on improving the dashboard native filter experience while improving performance and stability.
Superset 1.5 will likely be the last minor release of Superset version 1 and will be succeeded by Superset 2.0. The 1.5 branch introduced the concept of a Long Term Support (LTS) release of Superset and will receive security and other critical fixes even after Superset 2.x is released. Therefore, users can choose to stay on the 1.5 branch, or upgrade to 2.x when it becomes available.
Changes since 1.5.0rc1 include:
- #19612 fix(select): render when empty multi-select
- #19565 fix(sqla): apply jinja to metrics
- #19582 fix(dataset): avoid crash when database is missing
- #19542 fix: big data with trendline cannot calculate cumsum
- #19548 fix (sqllab): empty database with backend persistence
- #19530 docs: Release Notes for 1.5
- #19557 chore: remove redundant adodbapi warning
