0. Background
When using AD to carry out the layout and wiring operation of the PCB, the excessive silk screen will affect the operation. However, if the silk screen is hidden, it is not very convenient for layout, so the best way is to make the silk screen text smaller in batches, and then place it in the middle of the device, so as not to affect the operation, but also to see the component name.
1. Batch change silkscreen size
Select any silkscreen, right-click, and click Find Similar Objects.
Change the Designator setting to Same and click OK to start the search.
At this point, the silkscreen of all components will be selected.
Then in the properties, you can batch modify the font height and font width of the silk screen.
2. Place the silkscreen in the middle of the device in batches
Press Ctrl+A to select all devices.
Click Edit→Align→Position Component Text in turn, or press the shortcut key A+P to select the positioning component text.
Place the component's Designator tag in the center of the component. Click OK.
After this setting is completed, it is very convenient to perform layout and routing. After the placement and routing, you can follow the same settings, and then set the silk screen to an appropriate size and position.
