Excel connects to Impala

step:

Download and install the driver

Download the Impala ODBC driver msi installation file and install it in a fool-
proof manner; cloudera official website requires registration, or you can find the download address from other places.

Configure connection information

Create Impala odbc and

click on the 64-bit (32-bit should not be used) configuration item, the pop-up window is as follows, click Add, and the right window pops up:

select the ODBC Driver for Impala just installed and

enter the necessary information, such as host:port, select Username and password authentication method, enter username/password, check to save password, check to use SASL, and test the connection. If the connection fails, the information of the above 4 configuration items is incorrect.

Excel connection data source

Open Excel, here is Excel2016, switch to the data tab page, click from other sources, select from data connection wizard:

Select the newly created data source, enter the user name/password again below, check the run to save the password, and test the connection. If you succeed, you can see the interface for selecting databases and data tables:
