Common codecs
- Common audio codecs include OPUS, AAC, Ogg, Speex, iLBC, AMR, G.711, etc.
- AAC is widely used in live broadcast systems (used in ffmpeg); OPUS is a newer audio codec (small delay and high compression), WebRTC uses OPUS by default; fixed-line phones generally use the G.711 series.
