Space before and after scanf input format character

If only scanf ( "% d", & a); or Scanf ( "% C", & B); ,
before **% ** plus no space, the output there are no spaces
% after spaces, need to play the input a non- space, Enter key, tab key , output no spaces
if required string has spaces, gets (str);
