Product version introduction

Facing the GIS market with increasingly refined application requirements, SuperMap iServer provides a series of products suitable for different application types, which require different operating licenses. Different versions have different access and management permissions. Users can choose the most suitable SuperMap iServer product according to specific application requirements to achieve the optimal combination of platform and project.

  1. Standard Edition -General GIS functional requirements, the first choice for small application systems

Considering that some application systems only need some common GIS functions, SuperMap iServer provides a standard version of products suitable for small websites.

This product implements basic WebGIS functions, such as map publishing, browsing and querying, and provides the function of aggregation services on the Web client. The product supports the expansion of three-dimensional service modules.

  1. Professional Edition -the choice of large and medium-sized portal site builders

Supports SuperMap iServer Professional Edition products with high concurrency. On the basis of the standard version, it also provides cluster services to support the high scalability and high reliability of GIS services in the application system, which can meet the needs of large and medium-sized electronic map portals facing the public. Website construction and publishing requirements.

In terms of scalability, in addition to supporting the expansion of 3D services, it also supports the expansion of some advanced analysis functions, such as distributed analysis services, spatial analysis services, and network analysis services. In addition, this version also supports spatial processing services.

  1. Premium version -the best choice for large-scale portal site builders

On the basis of the professional version, SuperMap iServer Advanced Edition adds the functions of online data editing, statistical analysis and third-party service distribution to meet the needs of diverse users.

At the same time, this version supports the extended configuration of 3D service module, distributed analysis service module, spatial analysis service module, network analysis service module, transportation transfer analysis module, chart service module, dynamic plotting service module, and service node module. The required expansion module can be selected according to the needs of the project.

Note 1 : SuperMap iServer Standard Edition, Professional Edition and Advanced Edition products do not include extended services. You can purchase various expansion modules according to your needs.

Note 2 : When expanding and developing in any version of SuperMap iServer and deploying in SuperMap iServer, you do not need to purchase a separate license for SuperMap iObjects Java.

Unlimited core module and limited core module

Unlimited nuclear license module

The license modules provided before SuperMap iServer 10i are all core-unlimited modules, which do not limit the number of cores of the machine where the iServer is located. The unrestricted core modules are shown in Table 1, including the unrestricted standard version basic module, professional version basic module, advanced version basic module, 3D service extension module, distributed analysis service extension module, spatial analysis service extension module, and streaming data service Expansion module (Streaming Service), network analysis service expansion module, transportation transfer analysis service expansion module, chart service expansion module, dynamic plotting service expansion module, situation deduction service expansion module, service node module.

Limited nuclear license module

SuperMap iServer has added a new license-based module starting from 10i. This license module can control the number of cores of the machine where the iServer is located. After iServer is connected to the license-based module, the number of cores of the current machine can be read from the license center. And check the number of cores, requiring that the number of CPU cores of the current machine is less than or equal to the number of cores in the license. The core numbers of the limited-core modules are 16 cores, 32-cores, and additional 2 cores. The additional 2-core modules are used to expand other limited-core modules and cannot be used alone. For example, after purchasing the standard version basic module (16 cores), the standard version (additional 2 cores) can be used to expand the number of cores supported by the core standard version basic module; after purchasing the 3D service expansion module (16 cores), you can also Purchase a 3D service expansion module (additional 2 cores) to expand the number of cores supported by the 3D service expansion module. According to the specific core, as shown in Table 1:

Note :

  1. In terms of the functions provided, the versions of iServer (standard, professional, and advanced) that are configured with corresponding nuclear licenses are the same as those of iServer (standard, professional, and advanced) that are configured with unrestricted nuclear licenses. , Please refer to Table 3 and Table 4 for the function division and optional expansion modules of each version of iServer.
  2. The machine learning service extension module is an extension module provided starting from the 10i version, which provides advanced analysis functions based on machine learning and deep learning. Specifically, it includes data analysis functions such as cluster analysis, regression analysis, and classification analysis, as well as target detection, feature classification, and object extraction functions based on image data, as well as scene classification based on image and video data, target detection, target tracking and other functions.

The difference between a limited core module and an unrestricted core module

There are several differences in the use of the limited-core module and the unrestricted-core module:

  • The limited core module allows splitting/merging the number of cores, while the unlimited core module does not support splitting/merging.
  • The core-unlimited basic module can only be used in combination with the core-limited expansion module, and the core-limited basic module can be used with the core-limited expansion module, or it can be used in combination with the core-unlimited expansion module.
  • The core-limited expansion module can operate independently, and the non-core-limited expansion module does not support independent operation.

Split/merge limited core number of core modules

When using a per-core license, you can split/combine the number of license audits according to your needs. The following points need to be paid attention to when splitting/merging the number of cores:

  • Only when accessing the Web version license center, it is allowed to split the number of cores of the limited-core module

  • Core number split/merge rules:

    • Combined core number: If the number of cores of the machine is greater than the number of cores of a single limited core module, the core numbers of two or more sets of limited core modules can be combined. For example, there are already 2 sets of iServer
    • The standard version (16 cores) is licensed, and the number of cores of the machine is 32, then the core number of the two sets of limited core modules can be merged, and the standard version of iServer can be run on a machine with 32 cores.
    • Split the number of cores: If the number of cores of the machine is less than the number of cores of a single limited-core module, you can split the number of cores of the limited-core module. If there is a set of iServer
Standard Edition (32 cores), the number of cores can be split to support running iServer Standard Edition on 4 machines with 8 cores.

Combination of limited nuclear modules and unrestricted nuclear modules

  • The basic modules with unlimited cores (standard, professional, and advanced versions) can only be used in combination with expansion modules with unlimited cores (such as 3D service expansion modules).

  • The core-limited basic modules (standard version (per core), professional version (per core), advanced version (per core)) can be used in combination with core-limited extension modules (such as 3D service extension module (16 cores)), It can also be used in combination with expansion modules with unlimited cores (such as 3D service expansion modules)

Independent operation of limited core expansion module

Only core-based expansion modules (such as network analysis service expansion module (16 cores)) are allowed to operate independently. The expansion modules based on sets cannot be operated independently. The core-based expansion modules that support independent operation are shown in the following table:

Insert picture description here

Precautions for the use of nuclear expansion modules:

  • The independent operation of limited-core expansion modules also needs to meet the requirements of the number of cores. For example, the 3D service expansion module (16 cores) can only run independently on machines with 16 cores or less.

  • Before running independently, this limited-core extended service needs to add an iServer node with limited-core professional version/limited-core advanced version as its main node, and regularly check whether the main node is alive and whether the basic modules of the main node are available

  • Independently run limited-core extended services, cannot provide services independently, all service capabilities can only be accessed from the iServer master node that it joins as the only access point

  • When the iServer master node exits, the core-limited expansion service will be unavailable
