DBeaver switched to calendar version control, the version number was updated to 21.0

DBeaver recently switched the version number to calendar version control. After the switch, the version number of DBeaver will be based on the release year. Its first version is DBeaver 21.0 (the first version in 2021 after the switch), which is a version after 7.3.5.

The main changes since version 7.3:

  • Many improvements to data transfer tools (insert or update, type mapping, sorting, etc.)
  • Spatial viewer: supports 3D objects, custom tiles, supports SQLite
  • Redesigned SQL editor panel (log, output, result label, toolbar)
  • macOS: Fixed many UI rendering bugs and added Big Sur support
  • Solve many database-specific problems and add new functions
  • All packages now include Java (no need to install separately)
  • New database: Trino, PostgreSQL for Google Cloud

Changes since 7.3.5:

  • macOS: Fixed the data grid renderer (shading bug)
  • Linux: ARM arch package added
  • data transmission:
    • Improved the export order of multiple tables
    • Added support for manual reordering of tables
  • MySQL:
    • Added event editor
    • mysqldump command line parameters now follow the client and server versions
  • Oracle: The statistical calculation of the table has been corrected
  • PostgreSQL: The analysis of array data types has been corrected
  • Firebird: System object detection has been improved
  • BigQuery: driver version upgrade
  • Exasol: SQL editor now supports LUA scripts
  • Clickhouse: driver version upgrade (SQL parser repair)
  • Redshift: fixed the bug of reading data type
  • Fixed the pop-up problem of "Tip of the day".
  • ERD: Fixed the bug that the layout of the note was damaged after refreshing
  • Fixed the rendering of Action icons on Linux
  • Fixed many small UI bugs
