CAF introduction

CAF is the sequence animation technology of Meishe SDK, which converts sequence diagrams into animations supported by Meishe SDK.

CAF animation is widely used in beauty photography technology. For example, themes, filters, stickers, face props, etc.

1. CAF support

    1. Supported sequence diagram format
  1. jpg / jepg
  2. png

1.2, program support platform

   Windows 7 and above.

2. CAF production process description

2.1. Use PS/AE and other tools to make sequence diagrams

Designers use software such as PS/AE to output sequence diagrams, pay attention to the following points:

  1. Sequence diagram: the resolution is the same.

   B. Sequence diagram: consistent format.

2.2, set the number for the sequence diagram

Names are based on the sequence of the sequence diagram, starting from 0.

2.3, use CAF tool

2.3.1, open the tool

   Double-click NvCafCreator.exe.

2.3.2. Load the picture and view the effect

   Click [Load Input Image] in the upper right corner to find the sequence diagram folder;

   Select a sequence diagram in the folder, then [Open], drag the [Slider] to view the effect

2.3.3, parameter setting

   Set CAF animation parameters:

    1. Output Image Format;
    2. Output Image Width/Hight;
    3. Frame Rate、Default Loop Mode;
    4. Parameter settings such as Quality.

   The following is introduced.

2.3.3.1、Output image Format

The output image format, there are two kinds of PNG and JPG, PNG has a transparent channel, JPG does not have a transparent channel, and it is automatically selected according to the imported image

2.3.3.2、Output Image Width/Hight

Output CAF image resolution, ensure the output aspect ratio, the imported PNG image aspect ratio is consistent;

Zoom in and out in equal proportions, do not change the ratio, otherwise the CAF picture will be deformed.

2.3.3.3、CFrame Rate

Frame rate setting, the default is 15 frames per second, which means that 15 frames are played in 1 second.

According to the frame rate setting of the exported sequence diagram, if it is inconsistent, the animation may become faster or slower.

Note: In order to ensure efficiency, generally speaking, the export uses 15-25 frames per second.

2.3.3.4、Default Loop Mode

Four loop modes of animation: None, Repeat, Mirror, Repeat Last Frame.

Using CAF to make stickers and sticker animation is 2 seconds by default. When a sticker is applied to a video and the display duration exceeds the sticker duration, the meaning of the four different modes is as follows:

None: The effect is seen in the first 2 seconds, and it disappears after more than 2 seconds;

Repeat: repeat playback;

Mirror: Play in forward order first, then play in reverse order, and so on;

Repeat Last Frame: Play once, then stop at the last frame, and repeat the playback;

2.3.4, quality setting

   Set the quality, use the JPG mode, and adjust the quality of the exported CAF.

      1. Export CAF

     To export CAF, click [Generate CAF file] in the lower right corner and select the location to export the file.

2.4, view CAF

After the CAF is made, check the effect through the tools in the package.
