This tool is part of the samba(7) suite.
smbclient is a client that can "talk" to the SMB/CIFS server. The interface it provides is similar to that of the ftp program (see ftp(1)). Operations include things such as obtaining files from the server to the local computer, placing files from the local computer to the server, and obtaining directory information from the server.
Options:
Servicename
