Although cloud native has gotten initial development in China and has gained the attention of enterprises and developers, for more industries and enterprises, large-scale applications are still in their infancy:
- The previous generation of cloud-native technology platforms often failed to meet the needs of enterprises, requiring enterprises to invest a lot of effort in self-research and component integration;
- Except for some Internet companies, for more companies, cloud-native technology is more difficult and costly to learn. For traditional industries with weak R&D capabilities, it is difficult to achieve large-scale applications in a short period of time;
- Internet, financial and other pioneering companies' demands for cloud native no longer satisfy basic operation and maintenance and R&D efficiency improvement. From the perspective of core business, more requirements for cloud native are put forward.
The white paper believes that cloud native is the foundation of enterprises' digital transformation, and enterprises need to establish a cloud native priority strategy and build an integrated full-stack cloud native platform.
Finally, the strategic recommendations given in the cloud native white paper objectively point out: On the one hand, cloud native technology is in a rapid evolution and development stage, and the maturity of many open source components themselves is uneven, and it is functional and stable with enterprise-level platforms running mission-critical systems There is a significant gap in the requirements for performance and reliability.
On the other hand, compared with the early cloud computing technology based on virtual machines and traditional service-oriented architecture, cloud native technology itself is used in various fields such as application architecture, development, testing and deployment process, application reconstruction and migration path, and system operation and maintenance. Both have higher technical and management complexity.
