1. What kind of testing is required for the device?
Static parameter test: The most basic test item, which can simply evaluate the performance of the device. Dynamic parameter test: The excellent dynamic parameter determines the switching performance of the device. Usually we hope that the switching speed of the power semiconductor device is as high as possible, the switching process section, and the loss is small. However, in practical applications, there are many parameters that affect the switching characteristics, such as the reverse recovery parameters of freewheeling diodes, the existence of gate/drain, gate/source and drain/source capacitance, and gate charge. It is very important to test such parameters. The switching characteristics determine the switching loss, power density, device stress and electromagnetic compatibility of the device. Directly affect the performance of the converter. Therefore, it is extremely important to accurately measure the switching performance of power semiconductor devices.

2. Why do I need to test the new device I just bought before it has been used?
Semiconductor devices may generate large electrostatic voltage due to friction during the manufacturing, storage, transportation and assembly processes. When the device is in contact with these charged objects, the charged objects will discharge through the pins of the device, causing the device to fail .
Damage problems during transportation and operation: the transportation, loading, unloading, handling, and assembly of devices are likely to cause mechanical damage to semiconductor devices and integrated circuits.
Storage and custody problems: improper storage and custody is also an important reason for the reduction of reliability of components (such as: the temperature and humidity of the storage warehouse are out of range).
Inferior product doping: bad suppliers will be in consideration of economic benefits, doping unqualified products, which are shoddy (refurbished devices and second-hand devices flooding the market)
