Configure and manage DNS server

Training purpose

Project environment and requirements

win2012-1 (has installed long.com domain) (and is the domain controller of
long.com ) win2012-4 (deploy DNS service on this server)
win7 (DNS client, DNS test)

-Deploy DNS service

Enter 2012-4 to
add a DNS server.

Open the DNS


configuration forwarder:

confirm and apply

Analyze in the cmd command line, test Baidu

Forward viewing area

Create a new zone,


set a domain name, and


choose not to allow dynamic updates. The
current directory is not installed with the active directory.


After creation

Create host record

Name setting
(for example) the IP address points to 192.168.166.51.


There is no reverse zone, and the specified creation cannot be completed.


So create the reverse zone.






Complete the creation.

Go back to the forward zone and re-update the pointer (enter the properties of the WWW).

Click Apply and confirm

in the reverse zone. Refresh

Enter the client computer to see if it is effective.

This completes the analysis and displays the result (indicating that it can be resolved normally).

Set the reverse zone
set type=ptr (point to ptr)
. When you enter the IP address, you can get a host name (indicating that the reverse zone configuration is normal)

Create alias

Create an alias (both names point to the same host)

Set a name to define yourself

: The reason for creating the mail exchanger:

A mail host name (mail.ziyou.cc) has been created, which can only allow us to access this host, but there is no way to provide normal mail exchange analysis for our mail server.
Therefore, a mail server needs to be deployed in a network, and If the mail server needs to be accessed by a domain name, then a mail exchange must be created

View pointer

(Refresh)
The pointers of 51 and 52 have come, indicating that the created A record has come

Auxiliary area (convenient for domain name resolution)

Enter long.com

Add an address

Click Apply and confirm.
Enter 2012-4 (enter the forward query area) to

create a new area.

Add the primary server address (domain control of long.com)


and double-click long.com to

refresh after creation . The following appears (it takes time, more Refresh several times)

Enter win7 to check whether the auxiliary zone resolved by win2012-1 is normal.
First check the DNS configuration

ipconfig /all (DNS server points to 54).

Under normal circumstances, 192.168.166.54 cannot resolve domain information. Continue to test and

resolve win2012-1. Not found, continue to complete the

above results show that the auxiliary area is effective
