Flatpak 1.10 released, with a more efficient repository format

Flatpak is a framework for distributing desktop applications on Linux. Now the stable version of 1.10 is officially released.

The most notable thing about the stable release of Flatpak 1.10 is that it uses a new and more efficient repository format. This format can make the update faster and reduce the amount of download data.

Other updates:

  • The systemd generator code snippet calls flatpak --print-updated-env to improve login performance.
  • The .profile fragment will disable GVfs when calling flatpak to
    avoid generating GVfs daemons when logging in via ssh.
