In terms of appearance, the Huawei Mate40 series continues the symmetrical design of Mate's central axis, launching the "Star Ring Design".
In terms of screen, the Huawei Mate40 series adopts a curved screen design to extend the screen to a wider area. At the same time, according to reports, the Huawei Mate40 series adopts a high refresh rate and high touch sampling rate to make the display smoother and more responsive.
The OLED screen size of the two phones is 6.76 inches, with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 2772 x 1344 pixels. The processing of the front lens is the same as that of the P40 series, using the "pill" opening design in the upper left corner of the front. Huawei will bring dual speakers to this phone.
The biggest difference in appearance between the two phones comes from the color and material of the body. Mate40 Pro uses a glass panel and has five colors, including white, black, silver and two new colors, named "Summer Populus (green)" and "Autumn Populus (yellow)". The Mate40 Pro+ has a black and white ceramic back shell, which is exactly the same as the design idea of the P40 oversized cup.
The biggest highlight of the core hardware part comes from the Kirin 9000 processor. This Huawei's newly designed mobile processor is built using TSMC's 5nm EUV process, integrated 5G baseband, and has a total of eight cores. According to official data from Huawei, the number of transistors in this processor is 30% more than that of Apple's A14.
