1. Background

Recently, I saw EMQ and Wanwei working together to create an "integration" of AI and IoT.

EMQ opens up the front-end IoT data channel, and Wanwei builds video AI data channels and applications to jointly solve the problems of heterogeneous data acquisition and collection at the edge of intelligence in the era of big data, low-latency and high-fault-tolerant network channels, and unified data standards. , So as to integrate various IoT sensors and video equipment such as cameras, AI cameras, DVRs, NVRs, gates (human | vehicles), fire sensing devices, electronic fences, and access control to realize multi-dimensional data perception, collection, processing, application, display, Forecast etc.

2. Solution overview

In the big data interconnection stage, it mainly realizes large-scale access capabilities, establishes a real-time collection of heterogeneous heterogeneous data systems at the edge, and builds data connection capabilities for the Internet of Things and AI interaction. EMQ & Wanwei launched the following three solutions to solve the problem of On the basis of the problem, individualized differences are formed, which are widely used in various industry scenarios such as government, education, smart communities, electric power, and industry.

Unified access platform features:

  • Unified IoT data and video data access solution

  • Compatible with mixed access of IoT devices from various manufacturers and video capture devices

  • Data access and data processing solutions with cloud-side collaboration

  • With rapid deployment and rapid docking capabilities, greatly accelerating application implementation

  • Support national standard data standard access, support multi-level platform

Overall program capabilities and features:

  • IoT device data access is provided by EMQ, and IoT is directly connected to the platform side EMQ

  • Video data is provided by Wanwei, which is connected to the cloud video platform after being accessed by the video edge gateway

  • The Internet of Things data is provided by EMQ to provide the northbound data interface, and the platform-side video data is provided by Wanwei Cloud Central Station.

  • Unified management: The upper layer realizes the unified management of IoT devices and video equipment by a unified device management platform (which can be realized by a third-party integrator device management platform and a docking customer device management platform)

Solution 1: Unified access and integration at the platform layer

Program features:

  • Platform-side rule linkage: realize the linkage between IoT device data and video data on the platform side through API and rule engine, providing richer business realization capabilities for the application layer.

  • IoT devices and video devices do not need to be integrated and linked at the edge.

  • Scenario: IoT devices are directly connected to cloud platforms (outdoor IoT devices, NB-IoT devices) via wireless/wired networks.

Option 2: Unified access and integration at the platform layer

Program features:

  • Rule linkage:

Edge: The rule engine in the EMQ IoT edge gateway and the video access edge gateway are linked through API calls. The IoT edge gateway and the video edge gateway network need to be connected.

Cloud: Through API interaction, the EMQ rule engine realizes the linkage between IoT device data and video data.

  • The IoT device access edge gateway and the video access edge gateway need to be deployed separately.

  • Scenario: Buildings, indoors, or regions are relatively concentrated, and the devices are connected to the Internet of Things devices with continuous power supply. The Internet of Things devices need to be reported to the platform after edge convergence.

Option 3: Unified integration at the edge

Program features:

  • Provide a unified IoT and video access edge gateway to realize unified access to the edge of IoT and video equipment

  • IoT devices and video devices can be linked at the edge

  • Scenario: Buildings, indoors or regions are relatively concentrated, and the devices are connected to the Internet of Things devices with continuous power supply. The Internet of Things devices need to be reported to the platform after edge convergence
