Hongmeng's future
As we all know, Hongmeng was not originally designed for mobile phones. The original design was a low-power distributed operating system running on smart hardware.
However, due to U.S. sanctions, Huawei will not be able to use Google's Android system, so it accelerates development so that the Hongmeng system can support mobile phones, and finally can support all scenarios.
At the press conference yesterday, Huawei also disclosed the open source plan of HarmonyOS:
September 10, 2020, for terminal devices with memory 128KB-128MB, April 2021 for terminal devices with memory 128MB-4GB, and October 2021 for all devices with 4GB or more.

HarmonyOS is a "future-oriented" distributed operating system for all scenarios (mobile office, sports health, social communication, media entertainment, etc.).
