Test using t test

Official explanation

Use T.TEST function in Excel

T.TEST(array1,array2,tails,type)

  • Array1 is       required. The first data set.

  • Array2 is       required. The second data set.

  • Single sample or two independent samples. Specify the number of distribution tails. If tails = 1, then T.TEST uses a one-tailed distribution. If tails = 2, then T.TEST uses a two-tailed distribution.

  • Type is     required. The type of t-test to be performed.

 Some selection criteria found:

        Anterior and posterior tests of the experimental group and anterior and posterior tests of the control group require the use of paired sample T tests
        . Anterior tests of the experimental and control groups and posterior tests of the experimental group and control group require independent sample T tests.

        The one-sample t-test is used to compare the sample with the population, to test whether the sample is from a population of 100;
                for example: to compare the grades of some students in class A with the overall score , to see whether this part of students is suitable to continue learning in class A .
        Two sample t-test for independent samples from two different populations of channels, two test whether there was an overall difference;
                 example: A class and B class students are partially extracted out of the comparison results, see the special A, B two classes Are there any differences in overall results?
        Two tests are required to meet the normal distribution and homogeneity of variance, the output genus the result is the t value, P value, nothing different.
