Jira import data csv

Sometimes you need to import external data excel Jira system, previously only known record can be exported to excel or xml format, then import directly into the project say, no individual had to import data.

During the epidemic from home most of the projects are using the external network Jira records related records. After the return to work, you need to record external network within the network Jira project before the merger, so CSV import or very useful.

This paper describes an example to import defect import data recording format by a process csv

1, the external net export Jira defect record (Excel format)

2. Convert Excel csv format to format, and modify the contents of CSV (speakers, managers, etc. must be changed in Jira user accounts, rather than a user name)

3, the network Jira in the "System - External System Import -CSV Import", select the file

4, set the file encoding to "GB2312", otherwise the next field to be garbled

5, select the item you want to import (may be an existing project or a new project)

6, the mapping field, the system in the csv fields corresponding to the fields do

7, import, import will show progress, if the field matching problems or other causes of failure of the import will give specific tips

note:

1, csv in the content, do not have key values, such as Bug ID, otherwise it will overwrite the contents of the same target project ID, rather than added after the existing ID number, I first import to make this mistake. If the goal of the project is imported into an existing project, and expect to import the contents of the record before the merger, and extended on the basis of the record number on the original project, do not issue key field mapping

2, the file encoding must be "GB2312", otherwise the field matches the page will appear garbled, making it impossible to set

Another problem is the attachment can not be imported, if there is to know little friends are welcome to share
