How does Proxmark3 Easy operate smoothly in Linux?

Hi~

Proxmark3 Easy can be said to be a relatively cheap RFID card defense device that can be bought in China, and it has appeared in some hvs.

Proxmark3 Easy is a simplified device in China. It uses the open source of the earlier Proxmark3. The basic functions can satisfy many people, and the price of about 240-260 is relatively affordable.

The best way to buy Proxmark3 in China is nothing more than a handful of stores on Taobao, but the so-called online stores with better after-sales service, such as "*Da Technology", but their after-sales service is also a bit hard to describe. .

The Proxmark3 we purchased can only be controlled by the Proxmark3 Easy Gui software in our Windows system, and cannot be used on Linux. It is obviously not suitable to operate it through a Linux environment such as Raspberry Pi, and the new version of the software cannot be used. .

But I have to say that the software of Proxmark3 Easy Gui is quite in line with the operating habits of Chinese people.

Especially the low-frequency card reading area is also very convenient, much better than the current Proxmark3 GUI.

Of course, the firmware of the 512K Proxmark Easy in our hands can basically be refreshed to facilitate the use in Linux.

We can download some newer and more popular firmware here↓

https://www.proxmarkbuilds.org/

Note: If you use a more popular firmware, our previous Proxmark3 Easy GUI program will not work, but updating the old firmware can solve this problem.

Use the recommended version of the firmware pointed by the arrow to flash into the 512K Proxmark3 Easy to use the latest program.

Github I don't know if everyone can enter recently! If possible, it is recommended to look at github.

Find the latest firmware in Release, download it, and unzip it.

Flash the Pm3 firmware according to the prompts. Usually, the lower version of the firmware will need to flash the bootrom first and then flash all (all).

Then we can use Pm3.bat for command line control.

Here is my proxmark3 easy appearance.

Connect to pm3, open the firmware, you can see the self-test below, it is normal.

then some people

here comes the problem

How do we connect to linux?

Taking kali linux as an example, we need to install the software proxmark3 through apt first

apt install proxmark3

Next, drag the folder to Linux and open pm3 in V0.2.5-win64-rrg_other-v4.14831\client

You need to chmod +x pm3 first

Then ./pm3 can run

Then just run in our normal command line mode,

Here are some command tutorials for you to learn (basic functions are basically ok)

The new GUI is also easier to use, although the low frequency is a bit dull.
