Linux Lite 是一个对新手友好的 Linux 发行版，它基于 Ubuntu 的 LTS 发布，并以 Xfce 桌面为特色。Linux Lite 主要针对 Windows 用户而设计，其目标是提供一整套应用以帮助用户完成他们的日常电脑活动，包括完整的办公套件、媒体播放器和其它必要的日常软件，其可以帮助 Windows 7 用户过渡到基于 Linux 的操作系统。
Linux Lite 的桌面布局与 Windows 相同，左侧提供了“开始”菜单，右侧包含“音量”、“网络”和“日历”选项的托盘，此外还提供了熟悉的“桌面”图标，可帮助使用者迅速准确地返回系统桌面。
elementary OS
这是一个被称为最美 Linux 发行版的操作系统（具体来源已经不可考，有了解情况的读者可以留言挖掘一下），使用基于 GNOME 的桌面系统。
elementary OS 基于 Ubuntu，最开始只是 Ubuntu 的一个美化主题项目，后来成了独立的发行版。官方称其为快速、开源的 Windows/macOS 替代方案。
elementary OS 由设计师主导开发，在风格上有点类似 macOS（panel + dock），并且使用了 Chrome OS 的应用菜单设计，所以能在 elementary OS 中看到 macOS + Chrome OS + Ubuntu + Gnome Shell 的身影，而系统的核心依然是 Ubuntu，其完全兼容该系统的所有软件包。
