After retirement antivirus software Windows 7 will take effect?

Microsoft plans next year in January out of Windows 7, which means that the operating system will no longer receive security updates discovered vulnerabilities.

Earlier this month, Microsoft released a support document for the purchase of Windows 7 extended support of customers indicated that for all users, which for  Microsoft Security Essentials of the update will also be revoked. Microsoft Security Essentials is Microsoft's free anti-virus software can be installed on Windows 7.

However, according to the latest posts on the forum revealed that Microsoft, even if Windows 7 is disabled, Security Essentials also will continue to receive virus definitions (although the security product will not get any other patches). In other words, its feature updates and other improvements will be stopped. This also means that, sooner or later users to migrate to newer applications.

Microsoft engineers show: "Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) will continue to receive signature updates after 14 January 2020, however,. MSE  platform will no longer be updated."

For the "post-termination of support, Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) will continue to protect my computer?" In this issue, Microsoft released "Frequently asked questions about Windows 7 extends security updates," the document said in answer, "No, you are the Windows 7 computer from after 2020, January 14 MSE protection .MSE is unique to Windows 7, and follow the same life-cycle support date. ""

Microsoft recommends that users upgrade to Windows 7 device to a Windows 10, which is the latest version of its operating system pre-installed anti-virus protection. The  Windows Defender  is an evolved version of Microsoft Security Essentials, including extortion protection software and cloud-based analysis engine and other tools.
