How to restart Cisco LAP?

Into the corresponding on Cisco WLC AP, see Reset the AP, but there will be two options:

See the above description, many people may not easily operate:

1、Hardware Reset:Perform a hardware reset on this AP

2、Set to Factory Defaults:Clear configuration on this AP and reset it to factory defaults

We all know that LAP's unified configuration from the WLC issued. Probably the only think the important thing is that a static IP address, besides sometimes we still use DHCP, and uses DHCP Option43, so, even if AP is Reset, you can also obtain an IP address and the IP address of the WLC, then rejoin to WLC. This is not to worry.

Here you can see from Set to Factory Defaults, there are Clear All Config and Clear Config Except Static IP both options. Static IP configuration instructions to the AP, also leaving a choice of.

So if you only need to restart the AP, select Hardware Reset: Reset AP Now just fine. If CLI command line, enter the following command:

(Cisco Controller) >config ap reset ?

<Cisco AP> Enter the name of the Cisco AP.

Example:
