Do you know how to use mobile phone modeling customization methods?

Yimo App can complete 3D modeling with the help of images. In addition to directly shooting and collecting data in each modeling mode, it also uses a more tolerant modeling method - custom modeling.

The custom method can be used in [Face Mode] [Portrait Mode] [Subject Mode] [Scene Mode]. Modeling can be achieved by uploading a video or photo group that meets the modeling conditions (Yimo App v3.0.10, Android The system Yimo App can upload photos or videos; the iOS system can upload photos for modeling, but uploading videos for modeling is not yet available) .

01

Please enable custom modeling in the following situations~

1. Poor signal/no network coverage.
When collecting information in some special environments, the signal will be relatively poor. It is impossible to model immediately using the Yimo App. We can take photos or videos first and then upload them in an environment with good network conditions. Go to YiMo App and use custom methods for modeling.

2. Customized real-life figures

When customizing a real-life figure, it is recommended to take a photo with your mobile phone, make a circle with your head, step back, and then circle the spiral three times to take a photo. Custom method operation process

The operation process of the custom method is still simple: Create a new project and select the mode → Upload photos → Automatic modeling → Export for use .

New project: Enter the Yimo App, click [Portrait Modeling/Face Modeling/Subject Modeling/Scene Modeling] at the top of the homepage, and name the model generated this time. This time, subject modeling is used as an example for demonstration.

  • After naming, enter the modeling interface, click "Photo Modeling" in the lower right corner, and select the photo location on the machine (the photo needs to be taken in advance, and the shooting method is detailed below).

  • Choose photos from multiple angles of the same object, and upload no less than 50 photos.
  • Click submit to start uploading photos. After the data upload is completed, the system automatically builds a model and the corresponding model window displays "Processing".
  • Waiting for modeling results.

Custom method imaging requirements

1. A minimum of 50 photos are required for modeling ; the video must keep the object being modeled clear and not blurry. The length limit for uploading videos in each mode : face within 14 seconds; subject - within 90 seconds; scene - within 90 seconds; portrait - within 240 seconds.

2. [Portrait/Subject Mode × Custom Modeling]

In order to ensure the success of modeling and the effect of the model, after testing, the photos uploaded for portrait and subject modeling need to meet: (a) more than 50 photos, and it is recommended to include sequence photos shot from three heights: looking up, looking down, and looking down; (b) Take more than 17 photos at the same height, and the photos are taken 360° around the person or object being modeled; (c) At the same height, the images in two adjacent photos must have at least 70% repetition; ( d) At the same height, more photos can be taken to fully obtain the surface information of the modeled object. (e) If the model needs to have a bottom, after the side-mounted object is stabilized, take at least 17 additional photos from two heights: diagonally upward and front-on.

3. [Face/Scene Mode × Custom Modeling]

In order to ensure the success and effect of modeling, more than 50 photos must be uploaded. The photos must meet: (a) If the actual scene conditions allow walking around the field, take photos at three heights as described in 2. and combine all photos Upload to start automatic modeling; (b) If the scene to be modeled is a wall or other scene where walking around the scene is impossible, please walk parallel to the scene and take 17 photos from three heights: diagonally above, at eye level, and diagonally below. For the above photos, the images in two adjacent photos must be at least 70% repeated. (c) For face modeling, the model needs to keep looking straight ahead naturally without shaking. The operator shoots the model from three heights: diagonally above the forehead, looking straight down, and diagonally below the chin. The operator shoots 180° around the model. The images in adjacent photos must be at least 70% repeated, and all photos must cover the model's entire face.

4. The light when shooting: soft, avoid too dark lights or strong shadows somewhere.

5. The model or object to be modeled should occupy as large and complete a ratio of the mobile phone/pad screen as possible (single photos do not crop part of the object).

6. The photo has no defocus, no motion blur, and no shaking blur.

7. Do not shoot through glass or transparent packaging. It is recommended to place the collected objects still on a solid color plane (about 80cm*80cm).

Common misunderstandings

1. You need to enable the Yimo App’s permission to operate photos and videos in the mobile phone album. 2. Only upload 3-5 photos, the model cannot be made. 3. Make sure to upload more than 50 photos. 4. In a set of uploaded photos, make sure that two adjacent photos overlap by at least 70%. 5. The set of photos uploaded each time are actual photos of the same model/object/scene. Be careful not to mistakenly select photos that do not belong to this modeling. 6. During the shooting process, do not move the object being photographed; the object being photographed must remain still.
