In terms of the nature of the certificate:
CSPM - Competency Evaluation of Project Management Professionals, is the Chinese's own set of evaluation guidelines for project management professionals. It is a set of standards for the evaluation of the competency of project professionals that is in line with China's national conditions and in line with China's future development.
PMP - Project Management Professional Qualification Certification, a project management certificate evaluation system initiated by the American Project Management Institute - PMI, has a high reputation internationally.
(So CSPM and PMP are both certificates in the project management industry, PMP is an internationally recognized project management certificate, and CSPM is a national standard project management certificate based on China’s national conditions.)
Exam difficulty:
First of all, there are five levels of CSPM certificates. The PMP certificate is benchmarked against the second-level CSPM. Those who have passed the PMP certificate can apply for the second-level CSPM without taking the exam. Just fill out the "Application Form for Competency Evaluation of Project Management Professionals" + a copy of the PMP certificate + 600r. I can apply for Level 2 CSPM without taking the exam.

PMP - Project Management Professional qualification certification and certification organization is the American Project Management Institute (PMI)
CSPM - Project Management Professional Competency Evaluation and Certification Agency is the China Association for Standardization.
Examination Content
PMP - Project Management Professional Certification
The exam lasts 230 minutes and is conducted in both Chinese and English.
A total of 180 multiple-choice questions, about 10 of which are directed multiple choices and the rest are single-choice questions.
CSPM - Competency Evaluation of Project Management Professionals
CSPM-1 to CSPM-4 (exam duration: 180 minutes, 100 multiple choice questions, 2 essay questions;)
CSPM-5 interview time, 1 hour per person.
examination time:
The PMP exam is held 4 times a year. They will be held in March, June, September and December respectively. CSPM will hold the first exam on October 28, 2023.
Application conditions:
PMP - Project Management Professional Certification
(1) Academic qualifications, just meet one of them
1. Applicants with a bachelor's degree or above and 3 years of project experience are required.
2. Applicants with a junior college degree or below and a minimum of 5 years of project experience are required.
(2) 35 hours of training hours certificate (issued by authorized training institution)
CSPM - Competency evaluation of project management professionals (here, we take CSPM level 3 as an example)
College degree and at least 6 years of experience in project management;
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in project management;
Double bachelor's degree in related majors and at least 3 years of experience in project management;
Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience in project management.
Master's degree in relevant majors and at least 2 years of experience in project management.
