The 2023 CCF China Open Source Conference (CCF ChinaOSC) is planned to be held from October 21 to 22, 2023 at the Beichen International Conference Center in Changsha City, Hunan Province.
As the second CCF China Open Source Conference, this conference will organize different types of activities such as special reports, summit forums and field sub-forums. Zhu Kexin: As the theme planner of this 2023 CCF China Open Source Conference, would you like to share your overall considerations in theme planning?
Mao Xiaoguang :As we all know, the China Open Source Conference is the annual meeting of the CCF Open Source Development Committee, and this conference is the second one. The theme of this conference is "Open Source Alliance, Gathering for Win-Win". Compared with last year's theme of "Open Source Innovation, Leading the Future", it highlights the increase indomestic expectations for "open source" and people's understanding and attention to open source. The level is gradually improving.
With the rapid development of the domestic Internet and information technology, more and more companies and individuals are beginning to pay attention to and participate in the open source cause. They hope to obtain better technology, more stable products and more efficient products through open source. services, and can find broader cooperation opportunities in the open source community to achieve a win-win situation.
There is an old saying: "When everyone adds firewood, the flames will rise." The theme of this open source conference represents everyone's "consensus" on open source, and also emphasizes that "union" is the only way for open source to achieve "win-win". Zhu Kexin: This year is the second CCF China Open Source Conference. What do you think is the difference between this year and last year? What are the considerations for the newly added sections?
Mao Xiaoguang: Last year, we successfully held the first open source conference, which attracted many open source enthusiasts and experts to gather together. On the one hand, it deepened the friendship between the open source community and open source people and provided a platform for participants to discover like-minded people. On the other hand, everyone also discussed the development of China's open source landscape by exchanging open source paths and thoughts. Development direction and current situation.
At this year's CCF China Open Source Conference, we adhere to the concept of "keeping integrity and innovation" and continue to be committed to presenting a wonderful open source event for everyone.
First of all, this conference invited many heavyweight guests , including academicians Wang Huaimin, academician Gao Wen, academician Mei Hong, academician Liao Xiangke, academician Sun Ninghui and other industry giants.
Secondly, we have also set up two open source summit forums , namely large models and the road to open source development in the computing industry. In addition, 17 exciting sub-forums have been set up , including four major sections: open source platform and infrastructure, open source community and open source governance, open source projects and open source industry, open source education and open source research, covering all kinds of open source related topics.

Mao Xiaoguang :In addition to having a broad and far-reaching impact in academia and industry, large models have also triggered heated discussions in the open source community. In particular, the open source of large AI models is of great significance in promoting their application in industry.
In order to discuss related topics, this CCF China Open Source Conference has specially set up a summit forum "Open Source Development Road for China's Large Models" .
