1. Overall operation situation
Software business revenue maintained rapid growth. From January to August, my country's software business revenue was 7,517.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.5%.
Total profits maintained double-digit growth. From January to August, the total profit of the software industry was 862.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%.
Software business exports fell slightly. From January to August, software business exports were US$31.93 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%. Among them, software outsourcing service exports increased by 3.4% year-on-year.
2. Operation status by field
Software product revenue maintained double-digit growth. From January to August, software product revenue was 1,743.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%, accounting for 23.2% of the entire industry's revenue. Among them, industrial software product revenue was 170.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%.
Information technology service revenue grew rapidly. From January to August, information technology service revenue was 5,011.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%, accounting for 66.7% of the industry-wide revenue. Among them, cloud computing and big data services achieved a total revenue of 753.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, accounting for 15% of information technology service revenue; integrated circuit design revenue was 199.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%; e-commerce platform technology service revenue 698.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%.
Information security revenue has grown steadily. From January to August, revenue from information security products and services was 121.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10%.
Embedded system software revenue grew steadily. From January to August, embedded system software revenue was 641.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%.
3. Operation situation by region
Software business revenue fell slightly in the northeast, central and western regions, while growth in the eastern region was outstanding. From January to August, the eastern region completed software business revenue of 6.2244 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14%, and the growth rate was 0.1 percentage point higher than that from January to July; the central region completed software business revenue of 361.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%, and the growth rate was higher than that of the same period last year. It dropped 1 percentage point from January to July; the western region completed software business revenue of 760.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%, and the growth rate dropped 0.1 percentage points from January to July; the northeastern region completed software business revenue of 171.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.3% , the growth rate dropped by 1.1 percentage points from January to July. The software business revenue of the four regions accounted for 82.8%, 4.8%, 10.1% and 2.3% of the total national revenue respectively.
The revenue share of major software provinces continues to increase. From January to August, among the top five provinces in software business revenue, Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Shanghai had software revenue of 1,627.7 billion yuan, 1,322.4 billion yuan, 882 billion yuan, 781.3 billion yuan, and 781.3 billion yuan respectively. 659.9 billion yuan, an increase of 18%, 14%, 8%, 16.9% and 19.2% respectively. The total software business revenue of the five provinces (municipalities) was 5.2733 billion yuan, accounting for 70.1% of the national share, an increase of 1 percentage point compared with the same period last year.
Central city software business revenue grew steadily. From January to August, the country's 15 sub-provincial central cities achieved software business revenue of 3.685 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%. The growth rate was 0.3 percentage points lower than that from January to July, accounting for 49% of the country's software business revenue. It dropped 1.2 percentage points from the same period last year. Among them, the growth rate of software business revenue in Dalian, Jinan, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Qingdao exceeded the overall growth rate of the entire industry.
