How to pass the PMP exam in one month?

When I started officially preparing for the exam, it was less than two months away. I have to deal with other chores within a month before I can devote myself to studying. Although time is tight, I must maintain a good pace of study.

My preparation steps include: listening to lectures, reading textbooks, completing chapter exercises and simulation questions, reviewing text tutoring materials, and constantly doing questions.

In the PMP exam, the way of thinking is to log the problem first, then evaluate the feasibility of solving the problem, then submit a change request, and implement the change once the request is approved.

Everything needs to be done according to prescribed procedures. For example, if you want to communicate with your superiors, you need to first review the people and plans involved to determine who you should contact, and then review the communication management plan to determine the communication methods and methods, etc. Therefore, in order to pass the exam successfully, it is necessary to pay attention to the lectures, and it is impossible to understand so many details and main points just by reading the textbook.

1. Early simulation learning process

1. Strengthen practice

Chapter practice questions caused some controversy during the learning process. Since I started reviewing late, it is not recommended to focus on chapter exercises. This is because the chapter practice questions are completely different from the exam questions, and are only set to strengthen the consolidation of knowledge points. Still, I took the time to complete all chapter practice questions. However, since the simulation questions combine many knowledge points, it is difficult for each option to play a role in consolidating each knowledge point. In contrast, the chapter exercises are more targeted and can help us lay a solid foundation so that we can better deal with mock questions.

2. How to prepare effectively for mock exams?

Sort out wrong questions and summarize relevant knowledge points so that you can find the corresponding answers in the textbook when you take the exam.

Carefully read the "Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) Sixty-Seven Edition", and you can draw a mind map to help you understand. Focus on reading a chapter every day and draw a corresponding mind map.

After finishing the post-class test questions, summarize the wrong questions and study the relevant test points in depth.

Copy a chapter of ITTO every day to deepen the memory of input, tools and techniques, and output.

After taking the mock exam, after three weeks of hard work to catch up, I have a deeper understanding of the knowledge points, the exam process is no longer confused, and my self-confidence has been improved.

After finishing each mock test paper, whether it is right or wrong, read the analysis carefully and mark the key points in the answer. At the same time, find the knowledge points corresponding to each answer and learn it again in the textbook.

After completing the mock test paper, you can get a preliminary understanding of your weak knowledge points, and view the text tutoring handouts to further strengthen your learning. If you don't have enough time, you can print out the handouts and read them.

2. The sprint stage before the PMP exam

1. Take the first three mock tests and record the scores you can currently obtain. When redoing three mock tests, we will strive to achieve a 95% accuracy rate. If you fail to achieve your goal, you can continue to learn from your experience and try again in a few days.

2. Carefully complete several sets of sprint test questions provided by the training institution and sort them out. I also completed two sets of test questions posted on the training institution's website and organized them.

3. Put ITTO in your mobile phone, use commuting and spare time to memorize ITTO repeatedly, and strive to memorize it before the exam.

4. At this stage, you can practice according to the types of test questions, such as calculation questions, scene questions, concept questions, etc., to comprehensively sort out the ideas for the test questions.

5. Be sure to carefully sort out several mock test questions and sprint test questions, and try to do them at least three times before the exam. Carry out PMP exam practice appropriately according to your own time schedule, and summarize carefully.

3. Final entrance exam

During the exam, you need to relax your mind to ensure the speed of doing the questions. Due to the large content of the exam and the lack of energy in the later stage, we recommend that the average answering time for each question should not exceed 1 minute. You can take 50 questions as a stage, and then uniformly paint cards after completion. For questionable test questions, you can mark them and come back to study them carefully when you have time.

In fact, the PMP certificate exam is like a small project. We can apply the project management knowledge we have learned to the exam preparation process.
