RISC-V China Summit | 256-core server made a high-profile appearance, who can compete with it?

On August 23, the third RISC-V Summit China 2023 officially opened at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing. Industry elites from all over the world gathered together to make suggestions and work together for the RISC-V ecosystem. !

Ni Guangnan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Calista Redmond, CEO of the RISC-V International Foundation, Wu Yanjun, chairman of the conference and deputy director of the Software Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Bao Yungang, chief scientist of the Beijing Open Source Chip Research Institute, attended the opening meeting and delivered speeches.

Currently, the Hengshan series has launched two products: Hengshan-1 (HS-S1-2) and Hengshan-2 (HS-2).

HS-S1-2 is the world's first 256-core RISC-V computing server. Mainly designed for high-density computing scenarios, a single motherboard is equipped with two 64-core RISC-V CPUs and dual-core CCIX interconnection. The whole machine has 4TFlops of 64-bit floating point computing power, supports 16 DDR4 lines at full load, has a total memory capacity of up to 1024GB, and supports PCIe Gen 4. HS-1 has an ingenious system design and high-density modular deployment in a limited space. It is especially suitable for high-density computing clusters that require both computing performance and deployment density.

HS-2 is a RISC-V high-performance computing workstation mainly launched for universities, research institutes, and community developers. It is equipped with a 64-core [email protected] processor and is committed to promoting my country's RISC-V software ecosystem, chip design, Instruction set research and other directions are being developed.

At this summit, Dr. Zhang Xianyi, CEO of Pengfeng Technology, will share the RISC-V high-performance open source computing library OpenMPL, briefly introduce the current situation and advantages of OpenMPL, and share OpenMPL's support for RVV0.7.1 and RVV1.0. The advantages and prospects of OpenMPL in the field of RISC-V high-performance computing are explained with actual test results. Worth looking forward to!
