In the last article, I introduced how to use xTeVe to customize the M3U source and program guide. Through xTeVe, we can customize exclusive TV channels according to our own preferences and needs, and improve the station logo, program list, classification and other information for all channels , the customized channel will better meet our viewing habits, and the channel list will be more neat and beautiful, so how to watch the customized channel in Plex?
Watching live TV with Plex is actually very simple, we just need to add our xTeVe server to Plex through the live TV and digital video recorder function of Plex Pass.
Take macOS as an example.
01. Please refer to " Ultra-practical IPTV management tool, xTeVe helps you customize your exclusive TV channel. " Use xTeVe to customize your "M3U" playlist and "XEPG" program list, xTeVe actually acts as a "tuner" .
Note that "Streaming - Stream Buffer" is recommended to select "VLC", please install VLC player on your device, and then write the path of the VLC executable file in "VLC / CVLC Binary Path", macOS users need to write the path of VLC exec file storage location, Windows users can write to the storage location of exe files.
After the setup is complete, please copy the "XEPG URL" at the top of the xTeVe page, which will be used below.
02. Keep xTeVe running, open Plex for Mac, enter the settings page, find "Live TV and DVR" at the bottom left, and click "Set up plex DVR".
03. If xTeVe appears on the tuner setting page and the number of channels displayed on it is the same as what you set, please click "Next" directly. If your xTeVe is not recognized, please click "Manually enter its network address", then copy the "DVR IP" address at the top of the xTeVe page and click "Connect" to display your xTeVe tuner, then click "Next".
04. 将 xTeVe 页面顶部的「XEPG URL」粘贴至「XMLTV 指南」下方，点「继续」。
05. 显示所有频道已匹配，点击「继续」。
06. 弹出设置完成窗口，点击「关闭」，你就可以看到你的频道列表了。「我的指南」和「数字视频录像机设置」里面有一些简单的设置，可以保持默认不用管。
07. 接着回到主页打开直播电视标签，就可以看到你的播放列表了，点击频道或节目就可以收看直播了。将鼠标移至节目上会显示录制按钮，点击可以新建录制项目，若有录制需求建议在存储设备上新建三个文件夹，分别用于存储录制的电影、电视剧、和电视节目等内容，可以设置录制完成后直接将节目添加至已有的资料库或者新建的资料库，注意要将电影和电视节目添加至对应类型的资料库内，这样才能正确的刮削。
录制节目需要保持 xTeVe 和 Plex Media Server 在节目播出时间处于运行状态，Plex 客户端没有要求，只要 Plex 媒体服务器和 xTeVe 处于运行状态即可，录制是在后台自动运行的，录制完成后会自动按照你的设置添加至相应的资料库内。
可在「数字录像机时间表内」查看录制计划或者观看已录制的节目，可在其他标签查看正在播出的、即将播出的及其他节目的信息，也可在节目详情页添加录制计划。
由于节目信息是从「XMLTV File」获取的，如果你的节目单不是由官方提供的，是不包含节目的详细资料和图片的，所以节目封面都是空白的，若有官方节目单应该会显示封面图片和详细信息。
现在我们就可以通过 Plex 各平台的客户端和网页收看直播电视了，如果你设置了远程访问，那么在局域网外你也可以通过 Plex 收看直播电视，你也可以将你的直播电视共享给 Plex Home 中的其他成员使用。

最后，Plex 收看直播电视的体验其实算不上好，首先在换台方面就很不方便，其次在串流效果上也没有其他播放器流畅，折腾这个也就是图个好玩吧，既然有这个功能还是给他搞起来，如果真要看电视还是用其他播放器体验更好一点。
比如在安卓电视上推荐使用 TiviMate，这个应用也支持录制节目，并且还支持副节目单，可以给一个节目列表设置两个节目单，而且节目单还有时移功能，一些国外频道的节目单因为有时差问题这个时移就非常实用，可以用来矫正时差，由于这是一个专门用于收看直播电视的应用，所以各方面体验都要好很多。
在 macOS 上的选择就更多了，VLC、IINA、OmniPlayer 等等这些支持 M3U 的播放器都可以，不过缺点是不支持节目单和录制，但是操作非常简单方便，播放效果也比较流畅。
在 iOS 上可以选择 Fileball、nPLAYER、APTV 等应用。
不过 Plex 的录制功能还是蛮好的，如果有需要拿来录制电视节目还是挺方便的，而且直接用 Plex 看直播可以少装一个应用，在移动端用起来也还 OK，目前 macOS 端似乎还是有些 BUG，包括其他平台的客户端，感觉直播电视功能时不时的还是会出点问题，也可能和源有关系。
总之有兴趣的朋友还是可以玩一玩，反正设置这么简单，看不看是一回事，先给他搞起来，哈哈！
