Users who use keyboard shortcuts on a Mac may have accidentally closed an application, and the Command + Q keys close most applications. Change these shortcuts on a per-app basis so you don't accidentally close them.
To prevent this, the shortcut keys can be changed, and Safari will be used as an example next.
1. Select the "Apple" menu and select "System Preferences".
2. Click the "Keyboard" menu.
3. In the "Keyboard" menu, select the "Shortcuts" tab, click "APP Shortcuts" in the left column, and then click "+" in the right column.
4. Select "Safari Browser" in "Applications", set "Menu Title" to "Quit Safari", set "Keyboard Shortcuts" to "Option + Command + Q", and click "Add".
