Introduce yourself like this?

I have edited more than 500 resumes for my friends, and found some common problems when writing resumes. One of the points that impresses me most is the self-introduction. Basically, all the students’ self-introductions are written like this:

Friends who read this article, do you also write your self-introduction like this?

It doesn't seem to be a problem to write it this way, and it was written in the first resume of my student days.

But don't forget, your resume is for others to read!

If we look at it objectively from the interviewer's point of view (or other people's point of view), these words are undoubtedly correct nonsense, but they are just used to make up the number of resume words.

Why?

The reason is very simple, who wouldn't boast about themselves? Therefore, most of the resumes will have the same self-evaluation. If it is a popular position, it is estimated that the interviewer can memorize these contents.

The key question is how to make your self-evaluation convincing. Need some examples, data, evidence to prove.

Some examples:

I have a strong learning ability and have a strong curiosity about new technologies => Supplement: I have self-taught XX and XX new technologies through official documents and independent reference materials, and continue to pay attention to the latest developments of this technology through RSS.

I am happy to engage in challenging work => Supplement: I used to be the captain of XX, and under XX difficult conditions, I solved XX problems and achieved XX results.

I like to share knowledge and be good at summarizing => Supplement: Published personal blogs for XX consecutive days, published XX learning summaries, etc.

I am handsome => add personal photos

Writing self-evaluation in this way is no longer false, but can really make the other party feel your abilities.

Here is a little trick, you can write a self-evaluation according to the job description of the target company, so that you can be seated right.

Go to the official website to read the job description.
For example, if the company requires teamwork experience, then write: I am good at teamwork. I used to form a team to participate in XX and XX projects, and was responsible for XX and XX as a whole. How to improve team work efficiency and so on. . .

In this way, from the recruiter's point of view, you have prepared carefully and have a clear purpose, which is also a plus.

In addition to the self-evaluation written on the resume, our self-introduction in the job interview is also the same logic. Self-introduction needs to be carefully prepared, instead of being free-style on-site every interview, it is easy to appear some "babababa" and incomprehensible situations.

A relatively empty self-introduction is: who am I, from XX, and the job application intention is XX position, and then boast about myself, with strong learning ability and so on. . .

A relatively stable self-introduction is: who I am, from XX, job-seeking intention is XX position, which skills I have actively learned, which skills I learned better, and how I learned independently, and then use examples to prove which of my abilities are stronger .

For example, I would say: I have rich project experience, how many websites have been built by the university under the leadership of the studio, have independently participated in XX projects and competitions, have practiced in two companies and were responsible for XX work; Conducted XX field sharing lectures and so on.

In short, the logic is clear and well-founded, and the interviewer will like you very much.

Programmer job interview, technology is one aspect, and the other is to get your comprehensive ability (communication ability, logical thinking ability, etc.) through your preparation and online communication. Everyone learns the same technology, so what widens the gap is other abilities and how you demonstrate these abilities.

This is about the end of the chat. Everyone still needs to pay attention to daily accumulation and have a certain experience. Only when writing self-evaluation and introducing yourself will you be more confident.
