The following is an analysis of changes in domestic SCIE (hereinafter referred to as SCI) journal collection and impact factors .
01 Overall Analysis
Compared with the 273 Chinese SCI journals published last year, there are 276 Chinese SCI journals published this year , an increase of 3. Among them, 46 scores were above 10 , an increase of 3 compared to the 43 published last year. There were 126 submissions with a score of 5 or higher , an increase of 18 compared to the 108 published last year.
02 Top 10 Chinese SCI journals
Compared with the situation announced last year, some changes have taken place in the top 10 Chinese SCI journals (Table 1). Among them, the top three are still Cell Research , Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy , and Cell Discovery . The impact factors of these three journals in 2022 are 44.1, 39.3, and 33.5, respectively. Compared with the impact factor of 2021, the impact factor of Cell Research and Cell Discovery has decreased, and the impact factor of Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy has slightly increased.
Electrochemical Energy Reviews ranks 4th, and although the impact factor in 2022 has dropped, the ranking has risen by one.
The impact factor of Nano-Micro Letters has risen to 26.6 from 23.655 announced last year, and the ranking has risen to 5th from 9th announced last year.
Cellular & Molecular Immunology, which was not in the top ten announced last year, ranked No. 6 this year.
The InfoMat ranking rose to 7th from the 8th announced last year, but the impact factor dropped from 24.798 in 2021 to 22.7 in 2022.
The ranking of Military Medical Research dropped from No. 4 announced last year to No. 8, and its impact factor dropped from 34.915 in 2021 to 21.1 in 2022.
Protein & Cell announced last year that it did not enter the top ten, but this year it ranked No. 9.
The impact factor of National Science Review will drop from 23.178 in 2021 to 20.6 in 2022, and the ranking is still 10th.
The top ten Fungal Diversity and International Journal of Oral Science announced last year , and the 2022 impact factors announced this year both declined.

03 Newly added Chinese SCI journals
There are 7 newly added Chinese SCI journals, as shown in Table 2.

04 Journals published this year that are no longer classified as Chinese SCI
This year, 4 journals have been announced that they are no longer classified as Chinese SCI journals, namely Molecular Plant , Annals of Translational Medicine , Annals of Palliative Medicine and Frontiers of Mathematics in China . Among them, the area of Molecular Plant became England. The remaining 3 papers have no impact factor in 2022.
Explanation: The Chinese SCI journals in this article are defined as the journals whose region is classified as China Mainland in the JCR report.
Below are 15 excellent domestic journals.
It is worth noting that domestic journals with excellent performance, no matter what field they are in, basically have four things in common: fewer publications, new publications, OA publishing, and Springer Nature operations. These four experiences are very valuable. On the one hand, it solves the problem of making high-quality new journals, and on the other hand, it also solves the problem of making high-quality OA journals. It is worth learning from global academic publishing institutions.
