With the evolution of cloud computing, hybrid cloud (Hybrid Cloud) appears as a form of cloud computing. It combines various resources and products involved in public cloud and private cloud to form an ecosystem, which integrates users' public cloud and private cloud and helps improve cloud resource utilization.
For the technical architecture of hybrid cloud, Gartner believes that all IT environments are hybrid environments. Hybrid IT includes both traditional IT systems and cloud systems (public cloud and private cloud). The specific architecture is shown in the figure below.
Based on cost and security considerations, in the actual application process, enterprises mainly adopt the following two hybrid cloud technology architectures.
1. Cloud Adaptation
Cloud adaptation technology provides enterprises with a unified API interface, and adapts APIs of different clouds at the bottom layer to realize unified management of resources. The number of different types of cloud services an enterprise adapts and manages determines the capabilities of a hybrid cloud solution. Cloud adaptation technology forms a unified resource pool by unifying the resource interfaces of various cloud services, and then provides services to users through a unified adapter.
This model can realize the smooth deployment of tenant services on multiple clouds, manage different types of cloud services in a unified manner, and realize heterogeneous cloud management.
- network interoperability
1) Private network VPC
The private network VPC is a logically isolated network. Users can customize the network segment, IP address, and routing policy to build a network isolation space on the cloud.
- vpn connection
Hybrid cloud deployment can be realized by linking VPN, which essentially connects private cloud data centers and networks through encrypted channels.
- Dedicated line access
It mainly provides high-reliability private network access services for enterprises with strict network requirements.
In general, hybrid cloud is the main development mode and direction of cloud computing in the future. It integrates public cloud and private cloud, and matches with enterprise IT system to form a cloud-centered organic ecological whole, helping enterprises realize the win-win of IT architecture economy, security, and scalability.
