Why is the channel time of the EasyNVR device inconsistent with the recording time of the server?

The excellent video capability of the EasyNVR platform is to collect the audio and video resources of the front-end access equipment through the RTSP/ONVIF protocol, and transcode them into video stream formats suitable for distribution on all platforms and terminals, including RTMP, RTSP, FLV, HLS, WebRTC and other formats. The platform has been applied in scenarios such as smart water conservancy, smart factories, smart campuses, and smart warehousing.

There is user feedback that the device channel time and the start time displayed by EasyNVR are misaligned, with a difference of 8 hours, and the device time is consistent with the current Beijing time. We will investigate this feedback immediately.

In the live video broadcast, the time we see and the time set by the camera are consistent with the server, but in the video playback, the column of the start time of the channel shows that it has moved forward by 8 hours.

After checking the video carefully, it was found on the device that it was 15:23 at 0510, but the recording time of the server was 7:23 in the morning. The user also recalibrated the time of the watermark on the device, but the time of video playback is still inaccurate.

After further investigation, it turned out that the time zone of the server was different, and the UTC time displayed was 8 hours different from CST.

Science:

UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the world coordinated time, CST time: can be regarded as the standard time of the United States, Australia, Cuba or China, China Standard Time: China Standard Time UT+8:00

After modifying the time zone, check the video again, and the time is now normal.

EasyNVR can support most RTSP/Onvif protocol devices on the market, and has multiple functions such as video transcoding, live broadcast and distribution, cloud recording and playback, etc. Based on powerful video capabilities, EasyNVR can integrate with users' diverse scene needs , and finally formed "wisdom + industry solutions".
