However, it can be seen from the figure that most of the Web3 projects of Tsinghua University were born in the last market cycle, that is, 2017-2018. In recent years, there are relatively few cutting-edge Web3 projects, and only a few projects such as Scroll are representative.

The official research organization in Tsinghua University is mainly the Blockchain Finance Research Center under the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University. This institution was established in 2018 and is mainly engaged in research on blockchain financial applications. In addition, Tsinghua School of Economics and Management has also established a digital financial asset research center, and will launch a public course on "Blockchain and Encrypted Digital Currency" in 2020.

Tsinghua Student Blockchain Association (THUBA) was established as early as September 2017, and has held many blockchain hackathons and campus activities, among which the 2022 global online hackathon THUBA SUMMER HACK is more famous.

Huobi  is a virtual asset trading platform. The founder, Li Lin, graduated from the Department of Automation of Tsinghua University. He is a serial entrepreneur and once worked for Oracle, the world's largest database manufacturer.

Founded in 2018, the Peking University Blockchain Research Center is affiliated with the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. It will launch a blockchain research laboratory led by Professor Deng Xiaotie in 2020, focusing on the research of related basic theories in the blockchain field, smart contracts, cross-chain communication technology and other progress.

In terms of courses, the "Blockchain Technology and Application" series launched by Professor Xiao Zhen of Peking University in 2018 is known as one of the best blockchain teaching courses in the Chinese field.
