How does Blender open IFC data and install blenderbim
For a layman, when I want to view the presentation form of IFC data, but I don’t have Revit software, then I think of Blender. I checked on the Internet and only need to install the BlenderBIM plug-in to load the data in IFC format normally. Record it below Simple installation process for plugins
Introduction to IFC
IFC is a data exchange standard for exchanging and sharing data between different systems. When multiple softwares are required to cooperate to complete tasks, there will be a need for data exchange and sharing between different systems. At this time, engineers hope to completely import the work results (here is engineering data) from one software to another.
If there is a standard and open data expression and storage method, and every software can import and export the industrial data in this format, the problem will be greatly simplified, and IFC is this standard and open data expression and storage method.
Download and install the BlenderBIM plugin
First open the blender software to load the data, you can see that there is no plug-in for loading IFC data.
The first step: first download the plug-in

The version of blender is Windows version 3.1, so the download is the Windows version
There are several ways to install:

And I just simply need to view the data, I don’t need to edit it at present, so I directly copy it to the addon file of blender and install the plugin directly:
Wait a few minutes for the installation to complete before ticking this one off.
Blender opens IFC data
After completing the above operations, then we can directly open the IFC plug-in for loading data during import.
