Three questions to HPE, do you really want to buy Nutanix?

[Global Storage Observation | Hot Spotlight] According to multiple media reports, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has negotiated acquisitions with hyper-converged provider Nutanix in recent months.

Prior to this, in February 2017, HPE acquired SimpliVity, the global second child of hyper-convergence, for US$650 million, and later integrated it into HPE's important hyper-convergence product line, and further enriched the overall enterprise storage product lineup.

Industry friends analyzed that Nutanix, as the global leader in hyper-convergence, will sell for no less than US$6.5 billion and more than US$10 billion.

So, a big question mark, guess what, how many billions of dollars will it take for HPE to buy Nutanix, the originator of hyper-convergence?

But talks between HPE and Nutanix have been intermittent, and it's unclear whether the two companies can agree on a purchase price. Nutanix currently has a market capitalization of about $6.5 billion, while HPE Technologies has a market capitalization of more than $21 billion.
