Recently, in the field of AI, I have paid more attention to AI painting. I remember that I also mentioned in my last blog that the recruitment trend of many companies is now AI painting + original painting. Therefore, there is no harm in mastering the ability of AI painting for those who like to draw, to improve their own strength (except for the masters of painting). So I happened to see my field of interest in the Nova Project, so I wanted to share with you my understanding of AI painting, the website and some of my views on it.

Midjourney is an AI mapping tool, as long as the keyword is used, the corresponding picture can be generated through the AI algorithm, and it only takes less than a minute.
Choose from the artistic styles of different painters, such as Andy Warhol, Da Vinci, Dali, and Picasso, and identify specific shots or photographic terms.
It is different from Google's Imagen and OpenAI's DALL. E, Midjourney is the first platform to quickly generate AI graphics and open it to the public for application.
In general, Midjourey is very easy to use in AI painting. It’s just that it’s only free for 25 uses, and you’ll have to spend money after you use it up~
2. Why many companies require Midjourey

We learned about several other AI graphics before, why do they look a bit strange? In fact, the two biggest shortcomings of AI painting are: light and shadow and hands .
I saw AI painting with four hands, six hands or even more on the Internet before. Because the geometric shape of the finger is very complex, without certain rules, it is difficult for AI tools to deal with it in a targeted manner . AI is different from human painting. AI drawing tools cannot know the correct direction of the light source in the scene described by the user. Popular drawing tools like Lexica, for example, often have a certain randomness in the way they handle light and shadow, regardless of the left and right light sources . , resulting in the output works not being real enough , so we see that some pictures are generated with fake effects.
However, the emergence of Midjourney broke these deadlocks, so it is currently the most reliable at this stage.
Midjourney can be a great success, in addition to the precise control of the details , the more important thing is to restore the scene .
In its works, we can see that not only is it real (it can fool human eyes), but also the light and shadow effects are very natural, because Midjourney has the ability to automatically adjust the color according to the scene .
So, I know why the company needs to master the talents of Midjourney, because it has good effect, high efficiency and low cost. But in any case, the style of AI painting will not be as high as expected after all, so the original artist has to make final adjustments (but it doesn't need so many people).
3. What should I do if the position is affected by the emergence of Midjourney?
At present, as far as I know, the most affected is the original artist . The emergence of Midjourney is good, we can use it to achieve what we want with higher quality; but at the same time, the emergence of Midjourney also has certain disadvantages: it makes it impossible for humans to judge which is true and which is false , and it has extremely high Credibility affects human judgment.
At present, we can only work hard to improve our technical ability and master certain midjourney abilities so as not to be eliminated (replaced) by AI. In short, no matter what we want to do in the future, or what we are doing now is related to AI, we must seize the opportunity and make appropriate arrangements.
