Why don't we choose Linux?

Guided reading A few days ago, the company's colleague Wang Kaiyuan converted the notebook system to the liunx system. It looks good, and basically all the applications that should be there are available. Such as document processing software, form processing software, eclipse development environment, etc. Don't say it, it's really good. Once again, I want to install a linux system to use, but I haven't dared to do so. It is a waste of energy to use the linux system , and many things need to be set by myself.

The industry has been promoting the Linux system for N years, and many people are advocating that Linux is good, but why don't we choose Linux ?

Why don't we choose Linux? Why don't we choose Linux?

I think the main reasons should be the following:

1. The automation of system installation is not enough

At present, no matter what version of the Windows system, you can press Enter all the way until the installation is completed, and the installation can be completed basically without intervention in the middle. In addition, the partitioning method of windows is relatively simple, unlike linux, which requires so many partitions. For this point, I personally think that Linux should simplify this process, and the most intuitive way to achieve the partition process. Of course, it can also provide related functional support for users who are willing to do complex custom settings.
Linux installation instructions are like a book from heaven to ordinary users, how can they install it? Not to mention ordinary users, even those of us who are engaged in technology take a lot of time to install linux, and we can only install it after a thorough research. The good news is that some linux versions have done a lot of work in this regard, such as RedHat and so on. But what they have done is not enough, why not enough, because just asking someone who can install windows may not be able to install a successful linux system. Making it easy for such people to use is the real automation.

2. Linux does not support hardware enough, and many hardware cannot find available drivers.

When many hardware manufacturers provide drivers, they do not provide Linux-based drivers, and users will have headaches for a certain driver. And the drivers between various Linux systems are not universal. In the past, when I installed liunx myself, I struggled for a long time for the ADSL Internet access at home, and finally gave up. Of course, the ADSL can be set up as a route later, but what if there is no route? At least I didn't find a way, of course there must be a way.

3. Reasons for using habits

I have to admit that more than 80% of users in the world are users of the Windows system. The operating habits of the Windows system have been deeply ingrained in everyone's minds. It is better to adapt to the current habits of many users than to change their habits. At least in some of the most general functions, it should be like this. The current habit of using Linux should be for technicians, not ordinary users. I believe that many technicians don't like to use Linux, because the cost of using it is too high, and it is a waste of time to re-study and adapt to many places.

4. There are not many popular latest software

I believe that many people have a hobby of tinkering with such and such software. The software that can be tinkered with in Linux is limited, and the latest popular software versions cannot appear in time. For example, if you want to watch Internet TV now, there are very few choices under linux.

5. The Linux version is too messy and mixed

You can often see people on the Internet asking, which version of linux is better to use. Which version do I use personally? Where do you use for service? There are many answers, some support RedHat, some support TurboLinux. But who can clarify their advantages and disadvantages, which one is more suitable for normal office applications? It seems that I haven't seen a more fair evaluation, and some technicians have made evaluations according to their own preferences. What about us ordinary users? No way, no choice, it is better not to choose.

In a word, whoever solves the above problems of mine, whose linux will be popular, can really fight against windows, and can really enter the computers of ordinary people. Why don't we choose linux, at least because of the above problems.
