The default column order of Windows is: name, modification time, file type, file size.
For example, I want to adjust to this default column order: name, modification time, file size, file type, or delete the file type column. Note: It does not take effect only in the current folder, but the default state after all folders are opened.

In any folder adjust the column field, found in the toolbar Folder Options , click into the view tab, then click to a folder on it.
