The 5W2H analysis method is also called the seven-question analysis method. They are: What is it? why? Who will do it? When will it be done? Where to do it? How to do it? How much does it cost?
In the workplace, 5W2H can help us to organize our thinking quickly, especially when reporting to the boss to be more logical.
How to understand and use 5 W2H well ?
The core of this methodology is to figure out what you are going to do? Why do it? And related matters on how to do it in the future.
When you have to deal with things, you can ask yourself the following questions from top to bottom.
WHAT - what is it? What is the purpose? What job do you do?
WHY - Why do? Can we not do it? Is there an alternative?
WHO - who? Who will do it?
WHEN - when? What time do you do? When is the best time?
WHERE - Where? Where to do it?
HOW - how to do it? How to improve efficiency? How to implement? What is the method?
HOW MUCH - how much? To what extent? What is the quantity? What is the quality level? How about the cost output?
When you ask yourself these questions, you can combine specific things and scenarios, think together, and you will have a better understanding.
