How to register for an exam 

Determine which exam to take and record the name and number of the exam. For exam details, please visit the current exams and exam overview pages. 
Collect personal information before registering for the exam
Legal name (the name on the government-issued ID card)
Social Security number or passport number
Cisco Certification ID (e.g. CSCO00000001) or exam ID number
Company name
Valid email address
Payment method 
if you have previously participated If you have passed the Cisco exam, please indicate your Cisco certification ID (for example, CSCO00000001) to avoid duplication of records and prevent you from receiving your exam certificate in time.

You must provide a valid email address when registering for the exam. Cisco needs a valid e-mail address to send reminders when the candidate's certificate is about to expire, confirm the mailing address before mailing the certificate, and notify the candidate when the certificate is returned due to an incorrect address.

Choose a Cisco authorized test service provider, and then register online, by phone or directly to the test center (where there are test centers, you can register directly at the test center).

In the United States and Canada, you can register for the exam up to 6 weeks in advance, and the deadline is the day of the exam.

Candidates usually must wait five (5) days after taking an exam before they can retake the exam. The refund policy implemented by each authorized test service provider will be different.
